Chika aka HOOPLUR, born in Osaka Japan, pursued her dream and crossed the Pacific to find tranquility in dance and music. In Los Angeles, she was introduced to hooping and has never looked back. Inspired by hoop legends Anah Reichenbach (Hoopalicious) and Christabel Zamor (Hoopgirl), she discovered that hooping was not just a sport - but a spiritual and life changing experience for the body and mind. By harnessing the power of the hoop, HOOPLUR has become mentally stronger, more confident and spiritually enlightened.

Performing live for the first time in August 2007, HOOPLUR was rewarded by cheers and smiles from the crowd. She realized that her positive energy translated to others and sharing this passion became an obsession. Earning Hoopgirl´s certification for level 2 instructor, HOOPLUR has become the industry´s leading performer and instructor in just a short few years.

One of the many reasons for her passion to hoop dance is to share her devotion, inspiration, and love with all hoopers from around the country. Her dedication to hoop dancing has been validated with your continuing support, and HOOPLUR is proud to be named the recipient of the 2007 hoopie award for "Oustanding Newbie Hooper of the Year".
